TranSmart, as a subconsultant, provided state safety oversight (SSO) for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority rail system in the areas of system safety, transit operations, signals, and road worker protection. TranSmart provided specialists to support WMSC functions for safety studies and investigations in the areas of accident investigations, rail operations, signals and communications, and track and structures.
