Thomas Szabo Joins TranSmart as Traffic Group Chief

TranSmart, LLC is pleased to announce Thomas Szabo joined the company as Traffic Group Chief. In this role, Tom will lead the firm’s Traffic Group, and work with TranSmart’s engineering group leaders to deliver project solutions and support new business growth.

Tom is an accomplished traffic engineering professional with more than 30 years of experience. In addition to serving as the Traffic Section Manager for the Kane County Division of Transportation (KDOT) for 13 years, Tom’s engineering consulting background includes leading traffic engineering and transportation projects for municipalities, counties, and large transportation agencies such as the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), and the Illinois Tollway. Tom has been actively involved in the engineering community and is the immediate Past President of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Illinois Section.
