SRIJAN ADHIKARI NAMED CHIEF TRAFFIC ENGINEER
As part of continuing efforts to expand our traffic engineering services, TranSmart/EJM has promoted Srijan Adhikari to serve as our new Chief Traffic Engineer.
Since joining the firm as a traffic engineer in 2006, Srijan has advanced through various project and office leadership roles, where he has consistently demonstrated outstanding technical skills, leadership, and client service capabilities.
In his previous traffic program manager position, Srijan oversaw project teams responsible for various feasibility, crash, and traffic studies; pavement marking and utility plans; ADA and driveway permit inventory; and construction monitoring and inspection work for clients that include Illinois Department of Transportation, City of Chicago Department of Transportation, the Illinois Tollway, and various municipalities.
Srijan brings more than 15 years of experience to this new role for TranSmart/EJM. His successful project management and leadership experience, coupled with his solid expertise designing maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans, ADA ramps, traffic signals, and traffic safety studies—including specialized signals with bike phases— will further TranSmart/EJM’s core focus to provide the most advanced, cost-effective traffic operations and engineering solutions to the public agencies and private-sector clients we serve.
Srijan is a graduate of Nepal Engineering College in Kathmandu, Nepal with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and Illinois Institute of Technology with a master’s degree in civil engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and Michigan, certified professional traffic operations engineer, and member of both the American Society of Civil Engineers and Institute of Transportation Engineers.
